ThisIsBracketRacing.com Driver Series: We’re Back! And Better Than Ever!
ThisIsBracketRacing.com is proud to announce the Driver Series is back for another year, and better than ever!
ThisIsBracketRacing.com believes in quality improvement. We’ve listened to the racers and what is important to them. As a result, we’ve expanded our team to keep up with results so participants in the series get faster, more up-to-date race results.
Just like last year, ThisIsBracketRacing.com Driver Series will crown national champions in both the Top Bulb and Bottom Bulb categories. The 2022 national champions will each receive $10,000 courtesy of ThisIsBracketRacing.com! In addition, JEGS is once again contributing $5,000 in product certificates to racers who contend for the championship, but ultimately fall just short of the top prize!
Brian McGinnis (Bottom Bulb) and Tripp West (Top Bulb) were crowned the 2021 champions and will no doubt look to defend their titles in the 2022 season!
Each facility has selected 8 of their regularly scheduled events at which drivers can earn points toward Driver Series championships. Racers will earn points at their best 6 finishes among those 8 events (the schedule for each facility will include rain dates for make-up events if necessary).
The series consists of two classes: top and bottom bulb. The entry fee is $50 per class (each class, top and bottom, is a separate entry fee for racers who choose to participate in both). The entry fee is a one-time payment and separate from your entry fee at the track. The 2022 champion in each category will receive $10,000, guaranteed. The top 5-10 finishers in each class will also receive JEGS product certificates and/or additional cash prizes, based upon broad participation in the series (last season, due to immense support, ThisIsBracketRacing.com added over $4,000 to the cash purse).
In addition to the championship purse, if the championship driver is a current ThisIsBracketRacing ELITE member, that driver will earn an additional $2,500 bonus from ThisIsBracketRacing!
The evolving list of tracks currently includes: Bremerton Raceway, Woodburn Dragstrip, Xtreme Raceway Park, Ardmore Dragway, Virginia Motorsports Park, National Trail Raceway, Tucson Dragway, Winterport Dragway, Greer Dragway, Lost Creek Raceway, World Wide Technology Raceway, Mid Michigan Motorplex, Grand Bend Motorplex, Big Country Raceway, Lebanon Valley Dragway, and Summit Motorsports Park.
Look for additional information soon on thisisbracketracing.com as we detail prizes and incentives well beyond the national championship windfall. For more details and to sign up for points at your track, visit: thisisbracketracing.com/driverseries

Ardmore Dragway’s Tripp West Scores Big
- 10 points per round win, 3 bonus points for a win, 2 for r/u, 1 for semi.
- No points will be given after buybacks. (This keeps it fair for tracks that do not offer buybacks.)
- If your track allows 2 entries for one class, the first time you stage that round will be counted.
- Points follow the driver, not the car.
- If you enter both the top bulb and bottom bulb side of the Driver Series, the same car can be used for both classes.
- A racer can only claim one home track
