27-year-old professional racer Brad Plourd capped his 2009 racing season by scoring the Division 3 Super Comp championship at the wheel of Shawn Langdon‘s Lucas Oil backed TNT Dragster. The Washington racer edged multi-time champ Edmond Richardson by less than a point to claim his fourth NHRA division title and first in the 8.90 category (Plourd was the Division 6 Champion in Stock in 2003 and 2006, and added a Super Stock title in 2008).
