JEGS Summer Door Car Shootout Sponsor Spotlight: FTI
Benton, IL: FTI returns as a specialty award sponsor of the JEGS Summer Door Car Shootout for a second consecutive season. As the Florida based torque converter and transmission specialist did in 2011, the company will provide a complimentary torque converter to the driver who pilots his or her machine to the best wheelie of Saturday’s main event! The award, fittingly called the FTI Wheelie Wagon award, is voted on by a panel of event officials and track employees.
Last season, Rick Harless earned the FTI torque converter and the title “Wheelie Wagon King” for his astounding first round wheel stand during Saturday’s main event. Harless went on to back up the feat by driving his gorgeous Chevy II station wagon to the Sunday BRODIX Cylinder Heads main event victory, adding $7500 cash to his weekend rake.
FTI offers high performance racing transmissions and torque converters that feature the highest quality components available assembled to exact tolerances for consistency and dependability. FTI has built it’s reputation in the drag racing market (and throughout motorsports) through incredible customer service. The staff at FTI are racers themselves who pride themselves on manufacturing quality components and making sure their customers are satisfied. FTI offers free stall adjustments within a full year of purchase to ensure that their customers have the most efficient, best performing, and most consistent torque converter possible.
The 2nd annual JEGS Summer Door Car Shootout will take place July 21-22 at I-57 Dragstrip in Benton, IL.
