Racing RV’s Backed ThisIsBracketRacing ELITE Teams Primed for SDPC Dream Team Challenge
Memphis, TN: ThisIsBracketRacing ELITE, the premium membership community of sportsman drag racing’s original and longest running online driving school, ThisIsBracketRacing.com is excited to field a team of both top bulb and Footbrake entrants at next weekend’s SDPC Dream Team Challenge. The unique Dream Team event takes place at Memphis International Raceway and will feature a one-of-a-kind team competition in Super Pro, Footbrake and Junior Dragster. Teams of five, made up of racers from across the country, have been assembled for the competition, which will pit Dream Teams against one another in a single elimination tournament. Each round of the tournament will be decided by best-of-five matchups between competing teams. The winning teams in each category will earn the lion’s share of the 100% payback purse ($48,000-to-win in Super Pro).
ThisIsBracketRacing ELITE will be represented in both the Super Pro category and the Footbrake class by current ELITE members. In Super Pro, Team ELITE will consist of ThisIsBracketRacing ELITE co-instructors Luke Bogacki and Kevin Brannon. That duo has combined for four world championships and well over one hundred big buck bracket event wins. Bogacki and Brannon will be joined by North Carolina competitor Chad Duke, another multi-time big buck bracket winner who won last season’s All-State Shootout at the same facility. Kansas-based Todd Piper will also represent Team ELITE. Piper was the 2015 NHRA Super Pro World Champion, and made a return trip to Pomona after winning the Division 5 title for a second time in 2017. The Super Pro team will be anchored by Brandon Pfanenstiel, who will pull double duty for Team ELITE as the only competitor on the team competing in both Super Pro and Footbrake. Pfanenstiel comes into the event hot on the heels of a $10,000 triumph at the recent $25K Showdowns in Muncie, IN.
The Footbrake version of Team ELITE will again include Pfanenstiel, the Kansas native who drove to a pair of victories at last season’s Third Bulb Throwdown in Noble, OK. Brandon will be joined by South Carolina racer Jeff Lambert. Lambert, who has been a terror in the bottom bulb ranks along the east coast, heads up a non-profit organization called Armed Forces Racing. The group is dedicated to supporting veterans through involvement in sportsman drag racing. Tennessee based Troy Smith, another member of Team ELITE, is also a crucial figure within the Armed Forces Racing organization. Those three are joined by Stock Eliminator ace Eric Campolito, who will make the tow from Ohio, and South Texas-based Noe Martinez, who is the defending track champion at his home facility, Edinburg Motorsports Park.
Team ELITE is backed by Racing RV’s. Racing RV’s is a full service RV Dealer based out of Dayton, OH. Racing RV’s specializes in new and used semi-style motor coaches, race trailers, and motorhomes.
