Guest Instructor - Alan Kenny
This month’s guest editorial comes from 2012 NHRA Super Comp champion Alan Kenny. Alan is our first contributor from outside the United States, as he was born in Buckingham, Quebec and currently shares residence between Kingston, Ontario and Kutztown, PA where his teams race shop is located.

Kenny has been involved in the sport of drag racing for the better part of 4 decades. After spending nearly 15 years competing in the Pro Comp and Alcohol Dragster ranks, Al found a home in the sportsman categories and has become one of the most successful Super Comp and bracket competitors in North America. He has amassed five NHRA national event victories to go along with three LODRS wins, and has a pair of NHRA Divisional championships to accompany his 2012 national title. In addition, he’s won a handful of huge bracket events, highlighted by a pair of victories at the AA Auto Salvage Mega Bucks weekend in 2009 ($20,000) and 2012 ($25,000).

Alan is a fixture in NHRA sportsman competition, and can be found at the track with his family: wife Carol, son Jason, and daughter Samantha. Jason and Samantha have each enjoyed a great deal of on-track success in their own right. is pleased to welcome Alan Kenny to our all-star list of instructors!
